The pages a practice needs, and what each one has to say.
A dental site is not a template with a tooth on it. Six pages do the work, and a patient can tell within seconds whether they were written by someone who understood the question.
- 01
New patients
Whether you are NHS, private or mixed, and whether you are taking anyone on — said plainly at the top, because it is the first thing a patient looks for.
- 02
Treatments, explained
Organised by what is wrong, not by the name of the procedure. Nobody searches for prosthodontics; they search for a broken tooth.
- 03
Fees
Prices on the site, including the plan and what “from” means. The GDC says patients should not have to ask.
- 04
Your team
Every clinician with their qualification, its country and their GDC number, linked to the register. Required, and 82% of the practice sites we read leave the numbers out.

from the sample practice - 05
Emergencies
What to do today, registered or not, and what happens out of hours.
- 06
Complaints
Your procedure, and where a patient goes next: the Dental Complaints Service for private treatment, the NHS route for NHS treatment.
Three sample designs for one practice.
Tidewell Dental Practice is invented — a mixed practice in Worthing with four dentists, a plan and a full fee list. The same facts, three times, because the question that separates them is one you would ask of your own practice: which patient do you want more of?

A The front desk
For the practice whose phone never stops. Status, price and the next free appointment come first; treatments start from the symptom.

B The people
For the practice that trades on trust. The principal and the team first, with qualifications and GDC numbers set large.

C The clinic
For the practice growing private work. Three treatments with the whole price and the monthly one, and nothing the GDC guidance restricts.

Each is a complete homepage: open it on a phone or a desktop and click around. Tidewell, its people and its prices are invented, and every design says so in its footer.
Built to the rules.
The GDC’s advertising guidance, the CAP Code and NHS identity rules say what a practice website has to show. We build to them and check your content against them before launch. Responsibility for what your site says stays with your registrants.
“Compliant” is a word we do not use. No regulator approves websites.
What we found when we read practice websites.
Independent practices in Sussex, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds, read in September 2026 and anonymised. Two published audits alongside, which found the same.

How we do SEO for a practice.
A method, not a promise. Four things done properly and reported monthly, with the report written for a practice owner rather than for us.
- 1
Fix what is broken
Speed, structure, the pages Google cannot read, and the treatment pages that say nothing.
- 2
Say what you do, where
One page per treatment and per town you serve, written by someone who read the GDC guidance first.
- 3
Earn the local signals
Your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and the directories that matter for dentists.
- 4
Report what happened
A monthly page: what changed, what moved, what we are doing next. Numbers you can check yourself.
What nobody can promise, and why
Nobody controls Google. Anyone promising a ranking, a number of visitors or a number of new patients is promising something they do not own. We tell you what we did and what moved, every month, and you decide whether it is worth continuing.
What it costs.
Two prices, both ex VAT, with a written quote before anything begins. The words and the images are included. You own the domain, the content and the site.

- Week 0
A call
Forty minutes. Which of the three designs, which pages, what you already have.
- Week 1
Words and pictures
We write the six pages from your answers. You send the team list, the fee list and any photographs.
- Week 2
The site, for checking
A private link. You check every price and every name; we check every rule.
- Live
And then the SEO
The domain pointed and the site live. With the SEO, the first monthly report follows four weeks later.
What we need from the practice: a team list with GDC numbers, a fee list, your opening hours, whether you take NHS patients, and someone who can answer questions for an hour a week.
Who we are.
A small website and SEO studio in Brighton and Sussex. We design, write and build the sites, run the SEO and answer the phone ourselves. No account managers and no borrowed badges: the person you speak to is the person doing the work.

Questions practices ask first
- Can you connect our booking system?
The Book button opens the online booking you already use, so patients book into your real diary rather than filling in a form. If you have no online booking, a clear phone number and a short request form do the job.
- We are mostly NHS. Is this for us?
Yes. The status line says NHS, and the fees page shows the NHS charges beside any private fees. None of the designs assume private.
- Do we have to publish our prices?
The GDC’s standards say patients should not have to ask for them, so the site is built with a fees page. Where the cost depends on an examination, a range and what it includes works well.
- Who writes the words?
We do, from a call with you, and a clinician at your practice checks every clinical sentence before it goes live.
- Can you use our existing photographs?
If you have consent for them, yes. If not, we will tell you what to take; we do not use stock photographs of smiles.
- What if we want to leave?
The domain is yours, the content is yours, and we hand over the site. SEO has a three-month minimum; after that it stops at the end of any month.
- What does the GDC say a practice website should include?
Its guidance on advertising lists the names, qualifications and GDC numbers of the dental professionals, the practice’s contact details, a link to the GDC, the complaints procedure and the date the site was last updated. The full list, with sources is on its own page.
- Can you guarantee we will reach the top of Google?
No. Nobody can, and anyone who says otherwise is guessing on your behalf. We guarantee the work, show you all of it, and explain what changed and why.
Send us your practice’s address. We will read your site against every rule on this page, and tell you what we found — free, and without a sales pitch.
