Signs a website needs more than a tidy-upSlow, Empty, Outdated

It looks older than the business, takes an age to load on a phone, and still describes what you did five years ago. Every visitor notices — and so do search engines.

Sometimes the honest answer is SEO on the site you have, not a new one. We’ll tell you which, before you spend anything.

What a website redesign with us includesSave, Evolve, Optimise

An honest look first

Before anything is designed, we look at what the current site does well: the pages that bring in visits, the searches it already appears for, the enquiries it already gets. Those are the things a redesign must not break.

A free SEO audit is a good way to start.

Every useful address kept

Each old page is mapped to its new home. Pages that stay keep their address; pages that move get a permanent redirect, so links, bookmarks and search results still land somewhere sensible.

This is the step most redesigns skip, and the one that decides whether a new site starts from zero.

New words and images

The content that works is kept and improved; the rest is rewritten in your voice, around what customers search for. Images are made for the new site rather than carried over from the old one out of habit.

Built fast, built properly

Built in code, quick on a phone, with structured data, a sitemap and clean page titles in place before launch. A CMS you can use, and a care plan if you’d rather we looked after it.

Launched carefully

After launch we test the redirects, submit the new sitemap and keep an eye on how search engines pick up the new pages, so anything unexpected is caught early.

Website redesign questionsSpeaking Entirely Openly

Will a redesign lose my Google rankings?

It shouldn’t lose what the old site earned, and avoiding that is most of the work: keeping addresses, redirecting the ones that change, and keeping the content that search engines already value. Some movement is normal after any big change, which is why we watch closely after launch. Nobody can guarantee rankings either way.

Should I redesign, or just do SEO on the site I have?

It depends on the site. If it’s slow, hard to edit or impossible to improve, a redesign is usually the better answer. If it’s sound underneath, monthly SEO on the existing site may be the better spend. We’ll say which we think it is.

Do I have to change everything?

No. If your logo, colours or some of your words are working, we keep them. A redesign is a chance to fix what isn’t working, not to erase what is.

Can you reuse my existing content?

Yes, where it’s good. Pages that already bring in visits are usually improved rather than replaced, because they’ve earned their place. Everything else is rewritten.

How much does a website redesign cost?

A redesign is priced like any website we build: from £1,995, with a quote in writing before anything starts. Moving a very large site can add to the work, and the quote will say so. See pricing.
